Bio

Hello Parents and Students!!

I'm Amber Hall and I started teaching in 2002. I have been at Thomson Middle School for the majority of my teaching career. I am currently the special education department chair, but I also teach 6th and 7th grade language arts.

I am a graduate of Georgia College and State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. I started out my career as a probation officer but due to various circumstances, I found myself turning towards education for my long-term career. I started in the TAPP program and quickly landed myself a job in the special education classroom, where I have stayed my entire career. I also have a Masters degree in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama and a Specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Piedmont College. With the exception of one year, I have spent my entire teaching career in middle school.

I know this is a new adventure we are all about to embark upon, but we have to remember that we are all in this together. It is new for everyone and we will learn as we go!! I hope that you will have an open mind about starting to school and I look forward to working with you and your student this year as we explore language arts (reading & writing) during this new age of teaching and learning.
