Mrs. Albrecht earned a B.A. in History and English Literature from Lawrence University (2002) and a M.A. in U.S. History from Auburn University (2005).  She began her teaching career in her home state of Wisconsin in 2005, where she taught high school history for 3 years.  Upon relocating to Georgia in 2008, she began teaching middle school in Sumter County, where she taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Social Studies classes .  Her teaching career in Houston County began in 2017, when she accepted a position teaching 8th grade S.S. at Thomson Middle School.  In addition to being certified  in History (6th-12th) and Geography (6th-12th), she also holds a Gifted Endorsement.  Mrs. Albrecht is currently serving as the Social Studies Department Chair and an 8th Grade Team Leader.
